Message from the Principal Team

Principals' Update

Welcome back!

Just like that, term 4 is upon us. We hope that everyone had the opportunity to spend some time with family and friends and to rest and relax. There are many exciting events happening this term and with the improving weather hopefully we will all be together as a community a bit more. I am waiting for advice from the Department regarding recent changes to COVID isolation rules, however we are expecting another smooth term. We are hopeful that we will have some firm information regarding the Principal role at the school soon and that will be communicated to the community as soon as possible. Here’s to lots of learning, fun and hopefully sunshine ahead.

Year 3/4 Camp

This weekend our Year 3/4s and several teachers will be busy packing for the upcoming Phillip Island camp this Monday 10th October. We are sure this will be a terrific time for all attending, what with all the exciting venues being visited – Churchill Island, Koala Conservation Centre, the beach and of course, the penguins! Make sure to remember your warm jackets and get a good night’s sleep on Sunday night! Thank you to the many staff members who will be attending so that this camp can be adequately supervised – without this assistance, our camps are unable to take place.

Northcote SC Public Speaking Competition

This coming Wednesday 12th October, Brendan will be taking six of our Year 6 students to Northcote Secondary College as part of the annual Public Speaking Competition. Our school will be represented by two speakers – Monet (5/6O) and Abbie (5/6MW). We wish them all the very best.

Regional Athletics

Congratulations to the three students who qualified for this Wednesday’s Regional Athletics Competition being held at Epping Athletics Track – Louis (3/4B), Amelie (3/4G) and Tom (3/4G). We are proud of all their amazing efforts and training that have gotten them to this level of competition.

Colour Run

We look forward to this upcoming afternoon (October 14th), which not only makes everyone smile but acts as a school fundraising event. Can’t wait to join in the craziness of this event. Look out for Compass posts and posters around the school for more information.
