Chaplain's Corner

Hi Everyone,

Today, Friday October 28th ‘WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY’ is celebrated in Victoria!

During a year of significant workforce pressures, it’s never been more important to recognise the fantastic work of teachers. 2022 has seen our teachers deliver quality education following the wide-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic by showing incredible flexibility, courage and resilience.

It underlines why teachers are so important to our society. EVERY DAY, we should be thankful for the significant role teachers play in the lives of children, students, their families and communities.

I have the privilege of chatting with staff and visiting their classrooms and specialist classes.  I also see the difference our educational support staff make to students.  Special days, camps and events take great effort to enhance your child’s educational experience.

So, “HATS OFF TO ALL TEACHERS AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT STAFF AT ACPS THIS WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY!

Please encourage your children/young people to show gratitude to school staff often, not just on World Teachers’ Day.

I hope you and your children enjoy a long weekend. Stay safe!
