Literacy:

In Writer's Workshop, students have continued learning about persuasive texts and have written some very impressive advertisement posters for some imaginative toy designs.

1O and 1D also enjoyed a shared writing task, writing some spooky Halloween stories together. Boo!

In Reader's Workshop we are continuing our Author study unit and have enjoyed learning about the childhoods, interests and accomplishments of some our favourite Australian children's book authors.

1D have been taking our books outside when possible to enjoy reading in our outdoor learning space.

Maths:

In maths we have been continuing to practise our division skills and have also been learning about 'chance'. We have learnt the language of chance and have had fun identifying everyday events and situations that will happen, won't happen or might happen.

Inquiry:

As part of our unit on Australia, we have started learning about the difference between natural and human made landmarks and have been looking some of the wonderful and unique landmarks that make our beautiful country so unique.

Parent Reading:

This term we are very excited to be welcoming volunteers back onsite at ACPS to begin parent reading. Please speak to your child’s teacher if you are interested in helping out. Thank you so much to all the parents who have helped out so far!
