Operation Christmas Child Day

The Secondary Doulos Team would like to thank the SCC community for joining with us to make our Operation Christmas Child Day a great success. Thank you to all who packed a box at home or donated items.

Between our Crazy Socks for a Box fundraiser and our Hot Chocolate and Tim Tam stall, we managed to raise $444.80 which will help to send our boxes overseas. A special thank you to Robyn Nyhuis who so generously gave her time to help make the hot chocolates.

Thank you also to our grade 4-6 students who managed to pack an impressive 192 boxes in under an hour and a half! A wonderful effort!

1 John 3:16-18

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
