Personal Project Exhibition

Personal Project Exhibition

Yesterday and last night the Personal Project Exhibition took place in the Auditorium. The exhibition was an amazing insight into the gifts, talents, interests, passions, and personalities of our grade 10 students. It was clear that many students had developed significant knowledge and skills that they were keen to share with others.

A big focus of Secondary is inquiry-based learning. The personal project is a fantastic opportunity for students to inquire into a learning area of personal interest by following along the path of investigation, planning, taking action and reflecting. Students develop approaches to learning skills; they learn how to learn. This includes self-management skills, research skills, thinking skills, communication skills and social skills. Since our students have been inquirers and learners in their personal project, teachers, students and parents were also encouraged to be inquirers and learners by asking questions of our students as they explored their projects.

Well done to those students who put in their best effort with their project. Thank you to all our supervisors, mentors and parents for giving their time to guide and support our students as they undertook their personal project.

Grade nine students are encouraged to start thinking about what they might like to do for their personal project in 2023.
