Curriculum Day Fun

Damper Making by Eve Roulston- 4C

Today, (9.3.21) we made damper bread. First we put flour into a bowl, then kneaded butter into it, after that we added water and mixed and it turned out to make a dough.

Zac tried to make a Gluten free piece but the flour made it turn into Oobleck, which is a liquid that turns into a solid if you move or mold it then when you let go it melts in your hands.

I think jam and butter makes the damper taste delicious so I normally eat it like that. I would really recommend the recipe we used and you may use milk instead of water. I loved making the damper with my friends.

Infused Water

Some of our younger students began experimenting with a range of fruits to make ‘infused water’. We love their idea so much they we will be regularly incorporating an ‘infused water station’ where students will decide on the flavours of the day. We look forward to tasting their combinations!
