Selamat siang, semua!

What an incredibly busy and fun few weeks it has been!

In the Senior School, students have been improving their conversational skills. While all learning about how to ask and answer their name and age - 5/6 students have been learning different sentence structures and examining how culturally different grammar can be. 1/2 students have been learning all about food - starting with fruits and veggies, learning to describe their colour and remember lots of new vocabulary! In Foundation, students have learnt to sing Good Afternoon "Selamat siang" to everyone in their class and are learning to say and use lots of different colours and understand instructions in Indonesian.

In the kitchen/garden program, the Junior school has been getting messy as they plant new seedlings and seeds, weeding and harvesting the potatoes, strawberries and tomatoes for our cooking program. Seniors have been busy making pancakes with strawberry sauce and herby potato salad. The tomatoes will be used in an up-coming pasta recipe! Yum! Students have been learning to take turns, use patience, creativity, zest and a love of learning.

Last Thursday, 21 of our Grade 6 leaders undertook a Sustainability program, looking at biodiversity at the schools. Students learnt about biodiversity, took an audit of the school plants and wildlife, created some action plans and learnt how to make a newspaper pot for growing seeds.
