Winter Canteen Menu

A reminder that the Canteen will accept cash for purchase of icy-poles and drinks, after Second Lunch only.  All other Morning Tea and Lunch orders will still need to be preordered and purchased through the Qkr app. The canteen will be serving the Winter Menu this Term and Term 3.  Please see the menu below.

Labelling of Uniform items

As the weather is starting to cool down we are seeing many jumpers, jackets and track pants in the Lost Property baskets.  These baskets are cleared regularly and clearly labelled items are returned to their owners.  It is impossible to return items that are unreadable or not labelled at all.  Your assistance in labelling ALL uniform items and food containers (both bottom and lid) is appreciated.    

Parking Zones around St Mary's

A reminder to please be mindful of the parking zones in the streets around St Mary's and check the parking signs in the school zone.  Below is the parking information from the Armidale Regional Council.

Clothing Pool

With COVID restriction changes we can now open our clothing pool on Friday mornings from 9am-10am.  A big thank you to our clothing pool co-ordinator Kylie.  Please contact the school office on 6772 4441 or smaadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au to book a time for an appointment, as the social distancing restrictions still apply due to COVID.

New Look Compass App

Over the Easter Holidays, you may noticed that Compass has a new look.  The following has changed for all users:

• A new login page

• A new header across all modules

• A new look homepage. 

Please note that none of these changes will impact the functionality that you are using within Compass. They are updates to the design that we hope will make your use of Compass easier. To open your compass portal on your mobile phone, you will need to open this in browser. When opening your Compass app, 3 bars in the top left-hand corner will appear. Choose 'open in browser' from the drop-down list and you will then be able to view your dashboard as you would on a computer device.

General Compass School Manager App Information

If you want to receive instant app push notifications from the school you have to have notifications turned on for Compass School Manager in your settings on your smartphone. See attachment for instructions.

Compass Pay

Over the next few months we are commencing the phasing out of Qkr! as our preferred method of payment as we move towards using Compass Pay. The school office has begun to send out notes now with the option to consent and pay through Compass Pay and this will be used from now on for all permission notes that require payment. This term we will gradually move our other items on Qkr!, including Canteen purchases, over to Compass Pay. 

Please contact us if you have any problems while making payments during this changeover period.

Catholic School Week

Starting School Open Morning and Kindergarten Enrolments for 2022

Kindergarten enrolments for 2022 are now open.  We invite the parents and caregivers of our 2022 Kindergarten Students to attend our Starting School Open Morning.  Please RSVP to the school office.

If you can't attend the Open Morning but would like an enrolment package, please contact the school office. 

If you have already received an enrolment package for your Kindergarten 2022 child, please complete the form and return it to the school office as soon as possible so your enrolment interview can be scheduled. 

Please note, that until enrolment paperwork is received at the school office, we can not hold places for Kindergarten 2022.  Therefore, if you currently have a child at St Mary's and have a younger sibling starting Kinder next year, please let the school office know as soon as possible.
