Cancer Council Healthy Lunch Box

Check out the new snacks, meals and salad recipes they have added to help families get more fruit and vegetables into their diet.  

·  Mexican meatballs – packed with veg and protein, leftovers can be used in a wrap for          lunch

·  Pork dumplings - quick and easy to make and is suitable for freezing

·  Pea, zucchini and pesto risoni with chicken - use any leftovers for a rice salad the next day

·  Braised chicken and vegies - chicken drums are always a hit with kids!

·  Oat, sultana and peach bread – a great alternative to unhealthy pre-packed snacks

·  Classic bean salad - add some tuna or salmon for extra protein

·  Spanish couscous - kid-friendly side dish packed with fibre and veg

·  Zucchini and cheese arancini - 2 bite-sized arancini will provide 1 serve of veg
