Hope’s Bright Light by Leila McGregor

Hope has flames,

Until it’s blown out,

It never wants to be,

But it does without a doubt.

People in the real world,

Don’t think that wind can harm,

But it can do lots of damage,

To those who are not calm.

Never give up hope,

On a flicker of light,

The candle will be there,

To be lit, day and night.

Hope by Kayla Yau

From people walking on the street,

To people grinning while they eat,

These people come in forms so different,

This virus like a raging torrent.

Those people locked up in their homes,

So many wish they could just roam.

But these people keep on seeking hope,

Finding different ways to cope.

Some forms of hope come in crafting,

Knitting, playing or redrafting.

We know this virus won’t go on,

We’ll just find hope until it’s gone.

Hope Is A Flower By Maddie Henwood

Hope is a flower,

That blooms in uncertain times –

And its petals keep your mind-

From the bad the world can hold.

Its pollen is a net,

That catches bad from good-

And puts good back to normal-

And puts bad where it should go.

The flowers in a meadow.

Where other flowers bloom –

But one has to bloom first –

Before all the others do.

HOPE by Libby Orr

Hope is the sun on a cool summer day

Lighting up the freezing morning

Bouncing off the cold hard frost

Breaking it down and warming up the world

Hope is a colourful flower

Bursting in a field of grey

A ray of light on the darkest morning

Seizing every day

Hope is a beautiful song

Full of motivation

Waiting for someone to hear it

Bringing light to that person’s day.
