WOMEN

By Penny Senior, Women's VP

I hope everyone had a relaxing and safe Christmas Break and is as eager as I am to get into the 2021 Hockey season!

Pre-season has kicked off with a bang! With our aspiring premier league and Premier League Reserves ladies hitting the gym throughout December and January and now on the pitch twice a week, the season is shaping up nicely.

We have all our other women’s grades getting on the pitch for pre-season over February and March.  Pen A on Tuesdays from now and Pen B-Metro from Wednesday 10th of March. More details can be found on the Women’s Facebook page.

While you are there, checkout all the great ‘Sweatyselfies’ being shared over the last few weeks!

We have got an amazing group of coaches on board. I'd like to officially welcome Sam Arch, who is going to be working with Ross coaching the Premier League Reserve ladies, congrats Sam!

Leanne Downer, Tony Dudley, Sam Hill and Cam MacPhie are back again to coach in 2021.

If there is anyone out there who is keen to get more experience and exposure to coaching, please feel free to reach out and have a chat!

With the ladies working hard on skills and fitness, we have practice matches locked in throughout march and early April, putting us all in great shape to come out firing from the first whistle on the 17th of April (round 1)

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Christie Freeman who is stepping away from the Women VP role, it’s been an absolute pleasure working with you, your passion and drive for the TEM's womens division is inspiring and I wish you all best of your next adventures.

I’d also like to welcome Claire Douglas. Claire has been at the club for many years helping with Juniors, seniors, fitness, skills, you name she’e been involved with it. So I'm really excited to have her support in the Womens Secretary role.
