Development Sessions in November

Welcome to the 2021 season! We have already been busy with our TEM Academy and Development sessions throughout February which have been a great success. We had 71 players join in these sessions where they honed their hockey skills with some superstar coaches as well improving their athletic development with our very own Jo Bowden from Run Ready. 

Thank you to all those who attended and to those wonderful coaches who supported the program.

Registration

Registration details for 2021 have been emailed to those who played in 2019. If you haven't yet received yours yet, please let me know or alternatively you can follow the instructions on the previous page of this newsletter under "2021 Registration and fees"

Training-starts this Thursday!

All junior training will be on Thursday nights this year beginning this Thursday, 4th March.

U8s and U10s  5-6pm on H1

U12s  5-6pm on H2

U14 & U16 girls 5.45-7pm on H1

U14 & U16 boys 5.45-7pm on H2

We are also planning running a TEM Academy on Wednesday nights on H1 from 6-7pm during Terms 2 and 3 and details for those sessions will be out later this term.

Junior-Senior Transition  Night

We are having a junior/Senior transition night on Wednesday March 10th for those juniors who plan to play seniors for the first time this year. This is for all those who graduated from juniors last year who have not yet played seniors, as well as those top age U14 and U16 players who wish to play seniors this year in conjunction with juniors. 

Details for this night will be emailed to those players in that age group early this week.

School Roadshows

We are  currently in the middle of running school roadshows in 8 local primary schools with the view to hopefully gaining some new recruits for the club. It's been a busy time coordinating coaches for all these sessions but we hope it will pay off with a heap of kids coming down to our Hookin2Hockey sessions which start this week.

If you know of anyone who would like to come down and give hockey a go they can register for our 5 week Hookin2Hockey program starting this Thursday 4th March or just come for the first session this Thursday which is a FREE 'Come and Try' session from 5-6pm.

Get Active Kids Voucher Program

The State Government have announced a program whereby families can apply for a $200 voucher to go towards eligible costs of getting kids involved in organised sport and recreation.

Anyone can apply and this round is open from March 1st to April 11, 2021.
