Years One and Two Puppet Plays

The children have been working hard to practise and memorise their lines this term. We are looking forward to sharing our performances with families in Week Four via the SeeSaw app.

I have placed some practice material on SeeSaw for all Years One and Two students who would like to do some home practice of our "Run, run Biscuit" or "Hungry Wolf" Song. The song that the children are practising depends on the puppet play they will be participating in.

Here are some shots of the children's wonderful rehearsals!

In class, we have begun all of our sessions with a focus. We have been focusing on what does practising look like? What are nerves and how can we manage them? We have worked through key performance tools such as character voices, big voices and facing our puppet to the audience. The students monitor their progress using a performance checklist and have used feedback each lesson to make improvements in our performance.

Next week our focus is being a respectful and attentive audience member. The children are really starting to understand performance concepts and we are so proud of their efforts. Congratulations Years One and Two students!
