Don't forget that our eBook platform is easily accessed by using your Compass ID to sign in via the Library website or through the Compass Star menu, by scrolling down to select Library sign in.

If you need assistance to access the eBooks or any library resources please see the Library team or email the Ask a Librarian Service . We will respond during school term hours - Monday to Friday: 8.30 am - 4.00 pm.  Emails sent after hours or on weekends will be replied to on the next school day.  

Knitting Circle is back in Term 3 – Monday lunchtime in the Library.  

Knitting has been described as meditative, a creative expression, a gift to express love, a way to connect and much, much more. It is also very addictive!  

The John Cain Library Knitting Circle will recommence in the library on Monday lunchtimes. Come and learn how to cast on, knit plain and purl stitches, increase, decrease and cast off.  

Knitters will have the option to create a neck warmer which is a great beginner’s project or a Knits for Nature Penguin Rehabilitation Jumper which requires a little more skill.   

Please bring a pair of size 4mm (old size 8) knitting needles for the neck warmer or a pair of size 3.75 mm (old size 9) for the penguin jumper.  

Many op shops have a plethora of needles or you can buy them new at craft stores.  Wool and patterns will be provided.  

If you are an experienced knitter, please feel free to bring your own project.
