From the Head of Campus' Desk

As we head towards the end of Term 2 and Semester 1, let us give thanks to God and reflect on what has been a wonderful first half of the year. For me personally, I would like to thank each student, staff member and parent for the warm welcome I have experienced in my time at Heatherton this year.

At the end of next week, each student will receive via Compass their Semester 1 report. I would encourage you to go through the report with each of your children and get them to prayerfully reflect on their work, achievement, attitude, and effort from Semester 1 and to set some realistic goals for Semester 2.

For all students this is important but for our Senior students, it is a particularly important time for them to become consciously aware of and intentional about key choices: what they’re putting into their bodies; how the way they are spending their time helps them reach their larger God-given purposes; who they’re spending their time with; and what they’re doing to contribute to their families, schools, and communities.

So much has taken place in Semester 1 and we have a vibrant and peaceful community here at Heatherton. It is a community that we do not take for granted and that we are honoured to be a part of.

If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.” Thomas Edison
