Hi everyone!

Gardening Fun

The hunt continued today for what could be munching on our silverbeet. The culprit - slugs! We found them a new happy home under the trees, away from our veggies! Our first calendula flower has bloomed and we are looking forward to tasting them soon! Miss Belinda is going to bring us some other edible flowers too! We picked lettuce and raddishes today and mulched the garden with more pea straw so that the soil stays nice and damp for the plants.

We would love to see any photos of our produce taken home being included in your dinner!  If you take a photo, please send to bnechwatal@tcs.catholic.edu.au.

Next week Gardening Club will be held on Friday instead of Thursday.

Things we need!

We still need more paper bags to take our veggies home in. Please leave at the office, labelled “Miss Belinda”. Thank you!

3/4 BOC win Nude Food again this week, with 16 rubbish free lunches! They were followed closely by 1/2TB with 12, 3/4TR and 1/2UR with 11, 5/6FA with 10, 5/6MG with 9 and PrepRT with 7rubbish free lunches,

Some yummy ideas - a sandwich/wrap/roll, pasta with vegetables, soup, frittata or sushi, a fruit or vegetable snack, such as whole fruit, cut up veggie sticks, fruit or savoury kebab or a small salad.

There is a great booklet of ideas here
