5/6 FA Inquiry

Mr Anania

This term in Inquiry 5/6 FA have been learning about Sustainability, ‘Think Global- Act Local.’ Students learnt about what it means to be sustainable and the role a geographer plays in supporting  governments to implement sustainable practices. 5/6 FA students used the Bureau of Meteorology website to read and interpret weather in different capital cities around Australia.

Parents were also involved in helping students build a weather station as part of Family Engagement. Grade 5 students were asked to build either a rain gauge or wind vane and Grade 6 students could choose to build either a barometer or areometer.

Below are some comments from 5/6 FA students about their learning in Inquiry:

It was interesting to build a weather station at home.
