Schooling from home ideas

Grade 5/6
If you have decided to keep your child home until the end of the term, the following tasks can be completed at home to allow your child to continue learning. In the event of a whole school closure, further information and learning activities will be posted on Google Classroom.
Activities your child can work on at home:
Continue working on their leadership project that is due next term. Information about the project has been handed out to students and posted on Google Classroom
As your child regularly does for homework, continue to complete Mathletics tasks daily and complete a reflection. Your child’s teacher will set some extra tasks that connect with what they have been learning in class this term
Continue to read each day and write reading reflections in their homework reading log, that is located on Google Drive
Complete or continue a writing piece that they have been working on in class, or start a new draft on their Google Drive

Grade 1, 2 and Prep
If you are choosing to keep your child at home over the next fortnight, please note that the Grade
Prep - Two teachers have created scrapbooks with work to complete to provide a continuity of learning for your child. These are available to be picked up at the office. If you are unable to collect the book from the office, there will be a PDF option available for download on Flexibuzz.
Grade 1 and 2 students, your Mathletics passwords were handed out at the beginning of the year. This is a brilliant way to practise content that we have previously learnt.
If the decision is made to close all schools, all students present at school on that day will receive their scrapbook. Just remember that learning is about taking time and sharing experiences with your child. Please make sure it is fun, engaging and use this time to spend quality time with your family.
