From the Assistant Principal

From Mrs Hopkins' office....

We are coming to the end of another wonderful term at Kalinda Primary School and it has been my great pleasure to introduce Mr. McClare to the true magic that is the Kalinda community. As the substantive (permanent) leadership team Mr. McClare and I have visions of a thriving, vibrant school and having the privilege to 'show off' our school to him has been a real treat! It's not hard for me to find words at the best of time (#chatterbox) but the list I have of why Kalinda is the best place to be is truly endless. We have amazing teachers, education support staff, programs, families, curriculum, facilities, grounds and most importantly - students that are a true joy to spend time with.

It was really lovely to hear some of our newest families telling me at the disco how thrilled they are to be a part of the Kalinda community. From the flawless organisation to the amazing teachers busting a move we really did shine!

We have a lot of children and families struggling with winter illnesses at the moment. Please continue to be very mindful of sending your children to school if they are or have been unwell. Cold and flu like symptoms can worsen quickly during a tiring school day and we also have students and family members currently undergoing medical treatments and suffering from autoimmune diseases so we urge you to keep your child at home if they are unwell - particularly with vomiting or diarrhea (24 hour minimum exclusion applies), temperatures, symptoms that require pain or fever relief or any symptoms that cause distress, malaise or exhaustion. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
