Grade 3 Inquiry

The Year 3 students have been learning all about the history of Australia, with a particular focus on the period of the First Fleet and settlement. Students have become historians and are studying historical texts and other primary and secondary sources of information. They are using the knowledge gained to create their own historical narratives. Here are some examples from some of the students in 3V (Indie, Lara & James):

Grade 3 Incursion

On Monday, 11th November, 3B had an incursion about convicts and captains. There were a lot of activities. There were games that convicts played. My favourite activity was the brick one. I made a brick out of clay then we had to put chains on our wrists and we built stuff with bricks. It was too easy so I put 5 chains and it made it a lot harder to lay bricks. I made a place out of bricks.

Prep Breakfast

As part of our building independence program, the Preps had their special Prep Breakfast at school. They had to come to school realllllly early (8:30am!) in their PJs, eat their breakfast with their friends, get themselves dressed and brush their own teeth! What an exciting morning!
