Year 9/10 Community Service

In week 3, as part of their Community Service program the year 9/10 students headed to the local Community Garden and did a great job clearing and cleaning and weeding and cutting and raking and wheelbarrowing and picking up leaves. They worked well together and we are proud of what they are doing to serve the Community.

Year 5/6

The year 5/6’s practiced creative thinking and positive team work to create boats out of limited craft supplies. They were given five minutes to design their boat and decide on materials. They had 15 minutes to create a boat which would float and hold golf balls. Points were awarded for each extra golf ball it held. The winner held eight golf balls!

Brilliant Brains

We welcomed eight enthusiastic three (or nearly three) year old's to Brilliant Brains this week. Our theme was 'Bugs'.

We focused on vocabulary through:

* exploring different textures and colours when touching ice bugs

* making bug masks

* using the Smartboard to count

We developed our motor skills through;

* exploring for bugs in a mossy and leafy jungle floor

* playdough activities

* shape recognition and placement

As always our parent workshops are focused on education, a love of learning and are action-packed! We look forward to learning and creating for the rest of the year!
