Compass

We encourage you to login to Compass on a daily basis to check the News Feed as this is our primary means of communication. Information is NOT sent home in hard copy.

The Compass app (‘Compass School Manager’) is a quick and easy way to check the News Feed and you can choose to receive a single daily notification once all items have been posted or even set yourself a daily reminder! Positioning the Compass app next to ‘Messages’, ‘Facebook’, ‘Instagram’ or anything else you check regularly is also a good way to remember to check the Compass News Feed. Purple Folder

The Purple Folder (Prep - Year 2) can be used to return/send information to the school or your class teacher. It is essential that this folder is brought to school every day and checked every night.

A second Purple Folder is available for families living at separate addresses – please let your class teacher know if you require a second Purple Folder.

School Newsletter (Waves)

Our whole-school newsletter (Waves) is published on Compass and the BNPS website every second Thursday. Our newsletters include a report from the Principal, work from the students, student achievements, staff and parent interviews, upcoming dates and events and news from Specialist Teachers and our Sub-committees. Photos and videos of the children are also included in the newsletter.

Weekly Assembly

Whole school assemblies are held on Monday afternoons at 3.10pm (and as required for special occasions) in the undercover area between the two main buildings.

Each assembly commences with the singing of the Australian National Anthem - please support us by teaching your child the correct words to BOTH verses.

Contacting Teachers

Notes may be passed directly to your classroom teacher via the Purple Folder (Prep - Year 2) or via your child OR you can send an email (marked to the attention of your child’s teacher) to:

This email account is checked regularly throughout the day and emails are forwarded on as appropriate. Please note that teachers are unable to respond to emails that do not come via the school email address.

Informal discussions may be arranged upon request at any time throughout the year to discuss specific issues however please be assured that we will contact you should we have any concerns.
