From the Acting Principal

We have now come to the end of an exciting first semester...
...thank you to all of the students, families, and staff for the endless hours you have dedicated to enriching the school community. The break is a time to recoup, relax and spend time with family and friends in preparation for the second half of the school year... and perhaps read a book or two!
I also want to thank everyone for their support around the school whilst Darren has been away recovering. We have amazing families and incredible staff here at Queen of Peace and I am grateful for all of the support and guidance you have provided me during these past four weeks.
As a school community, we are sad to see David (1B) and Rohan (2A) leaving the school, but we are excited for them and their families as they embark on this new and wonderful journey in their new home towns.
Over the past few days and for the remainder of the year, possibly longer, you will see Smart Pup "Piper" working in the school grounds. She is a fully certified assistance dog, which means she is working and needs to remain focused on her job. Although she is cute, please respect that while she is in her coat, she is working. Please refrain from touching, petting, or taking to her.
A reminder that due to building works, we will have a closure day on Monday 15 July.
Have a wonderful holiday break and I look forward to seeing you back here on Tuesday 16 July!
Regards
Michael
