Swimming Carnivals

District Swimming

On Wednesday, 26 students from our school competed in the Carlton North Districts Swimming competition. It was a fun and enjoyable day, hanging out with our friends, and cheering on the school.

Our school was very successful this year, with many people qualifying for the next round, division. But our goal wasn’t to win, our goal was to try our hardest and to not give up, even if things weren’t going to plan.

Phew! That's a cool drink to cool me down. It was a hot hot day down there at the pool. It was 33.3 degrees out, we also had the baking hot sun beating down on us all day long. Jumping in the pool was nice and refreshing, but it didn’t last long because 5-10 minutes later we were boiling again. We were in luck though because they had water stations at the pool so we could refill our water bottles and rehydrate.

Dates: For students who qualified for the next round, division will be on the 7th of March, at Watermark, Greensborough.

Firstly, we would like to congratulate all the students who participated in the school's swimming districts. They all did a great job and somehow lasted throughout the 33 degree day. We would also like to thank Kyle, Kristie, Nicole and all the parent helpers who supervised us all day, throughout the heat. We would like to congratulate the other schools who competed. And last but not least we would like to thank Michael for planning and running the whole event, nothing couldn’t have happened without him.

Congratulations,

From Neve and Xavier, 2022 Sports Captains

On Wednesday 23rd February our qualifying swimming squad competed in the District Swimming Championships at Fitzroy Pool. It was a long, hot day by the pool and the level of competition was extremely high but our competitors challenged themselves, competed to the best of their abilities and should be very proud of their efforts. Congratulations to all out swimmers and good luck to our qualifying swimming squad who will be competing at the Division Championships on Monday 7th March!
