Year 7 camp

The Year 7 students had a wonderful three days away on camp from 28 February–2 March at Camp Marysville. The girls cycled, bush-walked, learnt about outdoors survival, and climbed and abseiled a 22m tower! They participated in a range of initiative activities that encouraged collaboration and problem-solving skills.

We were all very entertained at the Talent Quest night – a special shout out to Sophia M who sang solo and so beautifully. Coco and Chloe performed a lovely dance. We also enjoyed some sung performances, a magic show, some Japanese songs, some skits based on the movie Sing and a range of games and activities. We finished the night dancing to some fun songs and belting out ‘Let it Go’ from Frozen altogether.

I was very impressed by the way all engaged enthusiastically in the activities, and I was very pleased by the sense of camaraderie amongst the girls while away. It was great to see them chatting and enjoying each other’s company.

While this successful camp represents the culmination of the Integr8 Transition Program, the broader transition of our Year 7 students continues over the course of the rest of Term as our focus turns more fully to the academic routines and expectations for Year 7, leading to the Parent–Teacher Discussions at the start of Term 2.
