Sport
It’s been an exciting fortnight in PE!
Here are some of the highlights:
PE Sessions
Over the past two weeks in Physical Education (PE), our junior students have been focusing on improving their footy skills. They have been honing in on their kicking, marking, handballing, and overall movement techniques. These fundamental skills are crucial for understanding and excelling in the sport of Australian rules football.
Meanwhile, our senior students have been engaged in a different aspect of their physical development. They have been concentrating on enhancing their game sense, which involves understanding the strategic elements and decision-making processes in various invasion games. These games may include sports like soccer, basketball, or handball, where teams compete against each other within a shared playing area.
AFL Girls Gala Day
On Thursday, July 27th, our Level 5/6 girls participated in the Whitehorse Division Footy Gala Day. Throughout the day, our team displayed exceptional performance under the delightful sunshine, securing a commendable 3rd position. We achieved fantastic victories against Mitcham PS and Blackburn Lake PS. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the supportive parents who cheered us on throughout the event. Additionally, we extend a special mention of gratitude to the wonderful Heather for stepping in as the goal umpire for all our games!
Level 5/6 Winter Inter-School Sports Day.
Last week, all of our Level 5/6 students participated in the Nunawading Winter Interschool Sports Day, proudly representing Rangeview in a variety of sports including Netball, Football, Soccer, Tball, and Rounders. Throughout the day, our students exhibited outstanding teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship, making us all proud. The event was filled with excitement and enjoyment as the students gave their all on the field. A special congratulations goes out to our boys' and girls' soccer teams, as well as the mixed netball team, for their exceptional performance, earning them a well-deserved spot in the next round. We look forward to their continued success and hard work in the upcoming competitions. Thank you to all the teachers and parents for support in making the day possible. Go Rangeview!!
