Georgia's Work Experience 

Photography Studies College, in Melbourne 

Last week our Year 10 student, Georgia Wright completed 1 week of Work Experience in Melbourne at Photography Studies College. The College run a great program every year, accepting 10 students from various Victorian schools. Georgia was one of the lucky ones to be accepted for this year! Georgia would like to share some of the great experiences she had at the College:  

Last week I was privileged enough to participate in a week of work experience at Photography Studies College in South Melbourne. I was joined by two other year 10 students. During my time there I sat through certificate 4 classes with other college students and got to learn about different techniques, styles and ways to photoshop. I visited an exhibition at the State Library 'Mirror: New views on photography'. Walked the graffiti laneways in Melbourne and got to take some photos. On the last day we printed two photos each in the college's printing room. This was a valuable experience that I got to take a lot away from and can use my experience as I take on my other two work experience placements in November.

2023 Work Experience - Work Placements 

All Year 10 students are to be congratulated for working diligently to secure two weeks of Work Experience already! Thank you to Abby Mulquiny for all your help on Wednesdays. It was great to hear from the students at assembly on Wednesday, well done to all students for confidently sharing their two week placements. Students will now finalise their work placement forms, have them signed by Work Experience staff and Mr Daff. 

Melbourne Excursion 

Week 8: Friday 1st of September 

On Friday 1st of September, Mr Peck and Mrs McCallum will take all the Year 10 students down to Melbourne, to practice getting to and from their FIRST WEEK placement. Once the train tickets are finalised students will be able to have their permission forms signed.  

2024 Work Experience  - Parent / Student Meeting 

Next Monday: 21st of August, there will be a meeting for all Year 9 Parents and Students to discuss Work Experience Fundraising for 2024. We will meet in Room 1 at 5:30pm.
