Kinder CFA Incursion

By Kirsty Meese
The Kinder children and Kinder Staff would like to thank CFA volunteers, Kirsten Stollery and Stuart Johnston (one of our school bus drivers). On Monday 2nd March, Kirsten and Stuart took time out of their personal lives to join us at Kinder and talk to us about being members of the CFA and how to be fire safe.
The Kinder children enjoyed learning about fire safety, listening to the sirens, using the hose and of course being able to climb on the truck.
Some observations that the children made were....
"He looks like a bad guy that flies in the air" (when Stuart put on his mask)
and
"You look like a mummy fire fighter" (when Stuart put on his flame retardant balaclava).
Other children asked interesting questions such as...
"Do you wear your uniform to bed?"
and
"Do you save animals?".
Thank you again, Kirsten and Stuart, we look forward to you visiting Kinder again.
