Ryan Lee- Ninja Warrior

Ryan loves watching Ninja Warrior on TV so for his birthday his family took him to the "Boggy Ninja Academy" in Boggabri. The Boggy Ninja Academy is run by Cruz Leston Morley who has run on the show twice in the past. When visiting the academy earlier in the year, Ryan was invited to participate in a competition in which he competed in last May.

Ryan had no prior training and placed 2nd at this local competition. This qualifies Ryan for the state titles coming up next month.

Last month Ryan competed at the Obstacle Course Racing School in Terrigal which was a practice run for the state titles. Ryan was again placed on the podium, coming 3rd in the 7U age division.

Well done Ryan!

Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival

It might not have been perfect weather on Friday but our St Joey's athletes certainly turned up ready for their events. St Joseph's was represented by 30 students at the Diocesan Athletics carnival on Friday. We had some great results throughout the day including Hamish Crittenden placing 3rd in the 11yrs Boys 100m dash. This result cemented Hamish a place in the Armidale Diocesan Team heading down to Sydney in early Term 4. Congratulations to all of our amazing students who represented our school so well on the day.

Basketball

Team of the Week

Our St Joey's 3/4 girls team had their first win last week. The girls found themselves down by 10 points early on, although through great teamwork pulled themselves back into the game to win by 1 point. First of many wins, well-done girls!
