Pope Francis Award Program

Earlier this year the student’s participating in the Pope Francis Award program and wrote letters to our Pope.  In their letters they asked him various questions and told him of the types of service they have been participating in for both the School and Parish community.

We were all very excited to receive a letter from the Vatican.

The students have been giving up their time helping teachers and younger students within our school.

The last two Friday's the students and their parents embarked on mulching the Parish church grounds.  Everyone worked so very hard!  I would like to thank both the parents and students for their efforts. A special thank you to Mrs Woodhouse who helped co-ordinate the gardening afternoon.

Dear Principal and Staff of St Patrick's School,

My name is Bryony Williams and I was at the Sydney Eisteddfod on Sunday with my school and we were lining up next to some students from your school during the hip hop section. I just wanted to say how respectful, supportive and kind your students were towards students from all other schools including mine. It was so nice to see genuine kindness and support from other schools during a dance competition. I hope this can be passed onto the staff and dancers who were at the eisteddfod.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,

Bryony Williams

Sydney Youth Orchestra Winterschool

Abigail, Laura and Matthew recently attended the Sydney Youth Orchestra Winterschool. It involved a week long intensive program learning and rehearsing music before performing in a concert at the end of the week.

They met other young musicians from all over the state and have learned a great deal from the experience.

No audition is required for the SYO summer and winter programs. More information can be found online at syo.com.au.

TICTOK:

It has come to our attention that some students are viewing a TicTok video with includes a racially unacceptable term which is now being repeated at school. This is highly offensive and it would be appreciated it if you can talk to your child regarding this. We do not want this to be in our St Patrick's community. We have also spoken to the students at school about this behaviour.

MORNING DROP OFF

If your child is dropped off before the gate opens (within reason) please send them to the office area where they can wait outside the office area to be safe. They will be let in through the bottom gate near the office at 8:20. Please remember  that if students are here extraordinarily early they should be in before school care.

Make up Photo Day

The make up photo day will be held on Friday the 25 of August. If your child was away on the day of the original photos they will have their photo taken today. They will need to be in full winter school uniform.
