Year 9 MCG Visit 🏏

On July 25, Year 9 students ventured down into the rabbit warren that is the MCG. Students were taken for a tour and saw the club rooms, press conference area, memorabilia, recovery pools and even got to step foot onto the ground. Students were also able to test their sporting skills in the ‘Game On’ section of the museum. Students exemplified all of our school values on today’s excursion and should be immensely proud of the way they are representing Sunbury College in the CBD.

Year 9 Ice Skating⛸

July 13 was an exceptionally successful and fun day for the first Year 9 Naarm Engagement Program Day. Students were phenomenal in representing the school and were respectful in their behaviour with each other and the general public. We saw an extreme amount of resilience displayed during the ice skating, it was not as easy as some thought it would be! Please see attached some photos from the day. Students will be able to access all the photos from the student photo drive in the coming days.

Year 9 Jewish Holocaust Museum 🎭

On August 8, Year 9 students had the honour and privilege to attend the Holocaust Museum where they met two survivors: Abram Goldberg OAM and Joe Szwarcberg. Students were extremely respectful throughout the day, giving their complete attention to the magnitude of the events they were hearing about and asking curious and important questions throughout. We were very proud in the way Sunbury College was represented.
