During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Subject	Learning Focus
Reading	To take notes when watching a visual text and reading (w6) To read informative texts by navigating their structural features (w7)
Writing	To plan, research and draft an informative text (week 6&7).
Maths	To explore the concept of fractions (w6&7).
Civics & Citenship	To investigate how people with shared beliefs and values work together to achieve a common goal.
Social & Emotional Learning	To discuss perceived gender norms in society.

Homework

This term Grade 5 students will have Spelling and Math homework. Spelling will be tested each Thursday and Math homework will be checked on a Wednesday.
