Sandhurst Cross Country
Friday 12th May saw 39 students, accompanied by Mr Giudice, Mr Norris and Ms Eenjes travel to the Sebastian Recreation Reserve to compete in the Sandhurst Cross Country Competition. There was a lot of talent on display with almost all Girton competitors placing in the top 15 and progressing to the Loddon Mallee Regional Final on Tuesday 6th June. In the Teams’ Division, Girton placed first in the 15 Boys, 14 Girls and 15 Girls age groups, meaning that all five runners have qualified for the LMR Competition. A special congratulations to Abbey Reid – 15 Girls, who set the fastest time for the 3km Girls’ course across all age groups.
Girton finished the day as Overall Aggregate Winners, as well as taking home the Girls' Aggregate shield. Thank you to Mr Giudice, Mr Norris and Ms Eenjes for organising a great day.
