Students in Foundation - Year 2 have been practising their running, dodging and spatial awareness during games of Tiggy. They have been learning how to kick and control a ball using only their feet. They have played a modified soccer game where they must take turns with a partner to kick the ball into various coloured goals. Students have also been introduced to basic exercises including push-ups, sit-ups and squats.

 

Students in Years 3-6 have been practising their kicking and ball control using both feet. They have had the opportunity to play a real game of soccer, where they have worked on their understanding of the rules and strategies, while integrating the concepts of teamwork, communication and fair play. Students have taken part in an exercise circuit comprising of push-ups, sit-ups, star-jumps, burpees, squats and the plank.
