TWILIGHT SCHOOL

Another very successful Twilight School!  THANK YOU to students, staff and parents/carers for their support and participation. Twilight School always seem to attract great weather despite forecast predictions.  Students love Twilight School, especially the glow products.

 

SPECIAL THANK YOU to:

  • Staff for changing their hours to allow Twilight School to happen
  • Mrs Beveridge and Mrs Alexander who ran OSHC from 9.00am – 12.15pm
  • Mr Hunter and Mr Keleher who organised the sports events and staff who helped out 
  • Mrs Mangoni who, despite being on leave, prepared the tea for the staff
  • Canteen Manager, Zoe, who took on the massive challenge of preparing tea for 400 students, a daunting task in anyone’s language.  
  • Ms Brewer for preparing the students for their concert items
  • Mr Verdichizzi for managing the sound and lighting for the concert
  • All the staff who helped out with the various events during the day
  • Greg for putting out/packing away chairs for the concert 
  • Parents/carers who attended the learning space open session and/or sports session
  • Absolutely everyone who helped to make the day run as smoothly as it did

 

GLASSES FOR KIDS 

Glasses for Kids is managed and delivered by State Schools’ Relief and provides free vision screening and if needed, further testing and free glasses to participating Prep to Year 3 students.  The Glasses for Kids team will be visiting Athol Road Primary School where they will test around 90 students under the program whose parents/carers  agreed to participate in the program.

 

CROSS COUNTRY

CONGRATULATIONS to the 34 Year 4 – 6 students who represented Athol Road Primary school at District Cross Country.  You all did your best and represented the school to a very high level:  Ashton Ham, Kingsley Heng, Carlton Luong, Leo Pham, David Hov You, Jessica Heng, Ellenie Tiv, Uyen Nguyen, Melinda Taing, Steven Ha, Drake Chau, Brian Bou, Aarya Shah, Zac Vat, Ethan Agnello, Olivia Heng, Trisha Truong, Jenivieve Chhaylim,  Chloe Heng, Julia Pham, Jenny Nguyen, Tri Ta, Binghong Tang, Emmanuel Johnson, Quoc Truong, Pony Nguyen, Ethan Nguyen, Vincent Thai, Andre Thai, Sienna Hunter, Jennica Na, Rebecca Kamerak, Anna Chao and Tavera Thach

 

Athol Road Primary School presented a very strong contingent of runners with 16 out of the 34 runners moving on to division level, representing the Springvale District: Ashton Ham, Kingsley Heng, Jessica Heng, Ellenie Tiv, Uyen Nguyen, Aarya Shah, Ethan Agnello, Olivia Heng, Trisha Truong, Jenivieve Chhaylim,  Tri Ta, Sienna Hunter, Jennica Na, Rebecca Kamerak, Anna Chao and Tavera Thach

 

GOOD LUCK to these runners when they compete at division level on Friday, 2nd June.
