International Student Program NEWS

On Wednesday 3 May, three of our International students, Charlotte, Elliot, Tom, accompanied by Mr Lee, went to the University Open Day for International Students.

Our trip started on a chartered mini bus provided by the event’s organizer, AIDE, a very experienced overseas study agency. It took about 40 minutes for us to arrive at the Melbourne Town Hall in the CBD.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Jill from AIDE, who was the organizer for this event for Mullauna and each student received a show bag with an Australian Guide for International Students, a Treasure Hunt question sheet and some souvenirs. Students were also given a ticket for the lucky draw.  Ms Wang, a study consultant gave us a brief introduction of the expo before we spoke to the representatives from different universities.

There were representatives from about 30 universities; some in Victoria and some from other states. There were representatives from RMIT, Monash University, University of New South Wales, University of Queensland, and University of Tasmania. The students were provided with lots of information about the various courses that each university offers and the perquisites that they require.

Charlotte was quick to complete the treasure hunt map by finding out information from all the universities and was rewarded with a plush toy rabbit. Elliot, was our lucky student that won a gift card from the lucky draw.

We left the venue slightly before 3:00pm with lots information and souvenirs to take home. It was an enjoyable and fruitful day.
