The Hamer Hall Concert Experience

Playing at a venue that holds so much prestige and high reputation such as Hamer Hall is an experience many musicians can only dream of.  This year our very own Mullauna College has hosted the rehearsals with the student and staff participants from the metropolitan schools of the North East Victoria Region - Mullauna College belongs to this region.

This concert is a state-wide region event, and is run every year with a variety of schools

 hosting rehearsals and many different staff joining to tutor us. This year our college has students in the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra. The rehearsals are at various times, at various schools. 

My own experience practicing for the concert so far this year has been great. It has helped me to expand my musical expertise, to meet other like-minded students, and to gain substantial experience playing in such a big band at such an amazing location as Hamer Hall. Our conductor is a leader in the field and has taught us a lot. 

I think my fellow students will agree with me when I say the whole experience has been great, and I would love to do it again next year.
