JUNIOR SCHOOL COUNCIL
This year the Junior School Council has been working with all students and teachers to create new school values for Miners Rest Primary School. It has been a working process from all classrooms; completing a questionnaire focusing on words to describe our school, discussing what makes our school unique and suggesting important values. The Junior School Council, with support from teachers, had the opportunity to draft designs for symbols including suggesting colours, fonts and the overall design.
SCHOOL VALUES:
Courage
Kindness
Respect
Please keep an eye out in the coming weeks for some new signs and displays around the school.
The Junior School Council would like to thank Rhiannon Coffin from The Sign Shop Co. for her support, time and creative mind in combining our ideas to complete a final design.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
Levi M has been working hard over the past term to develop the Miners Rest Primary School K - 6 Acknowledgement of Country.
He presented this at the first assembly this term. Levi has created an Acknowledgement of Country poster that he is delivering to classrooms this week.
Students will continue to practise the Acknowledgement of Country for future assemblies.
Well done, Levi, on starting this important work for our school.
