Year 12 begin their Food and Beverage journey

From this term, our new Year 12 VET Hospitality students will begin their largest assessment of their course that will run for 3 terms where they will learn to prepare and serve espresso coffee, non-alcoholic beverages and all different types of food and beverage service.

So far, they have learnt how to make a Cappuccino, Latte, Flat White, Espresso, Long Black, Short Macchiato and a Long Macchiato.

Students will soon go out for their second work placement in Week 8 in a different setting to their first to ensure that they are exposed to various service styles and working environments.

Thank you to this term’s work placement partners, including Little Italy; Malcolm’s Chinese Restaurant; Station 4 Cafe & Bar, Griffith Leagues Club - Southside; Vaccari’s Bakery; Coro Club Bistro; Maxx & Co.
