Hello there MCC community,

HSC exams have finally concluded this week. The long march has finally ended for year 12 2022. In a very positive note the invigilators commented that the year 12 cohort was very polite and attentive throughout their entire examination period so well-done year 12 2022! Enjoy your much-deserved rest and relaxation time it is very important that you pause and acknowledge your achievements this year and in fact your entire schooling career as it has end.

Naplan data has recently been released and MCC staff in our learning teams are currently analysing it. Naplan data provides an incredibly useful data that can help shape our learning directives for example the results of one year might indicate that a greater emphasis be placed on writing. Teachers are currently reflecting on results and how they help to understand approaches to learning and teaching an exciting and formative time for the staff.

Not only are our teachers proficient in data analysis they are also experts in report writing (teachers sure do wear a lot of hats!) Junior reports are currently in the hands of teachers who are in the process of finalising marks in order to prepare reports. These reports are slated for week 9 release.

Additionally, this week Year 11 had parent teacher interviews and they were carried out without issue. PTS conferences provide teachers, parents and students opportunities to meet and discuss the progress of the students. These are important opportunities for parents and teachers to communicate and make sure that they are all on the same page and are able to work towards the best outcome for the students.
