Readers Cup

This week the winners of our Readers Cup Competition - Mia Jakovlev, Zara Reis, Jennifer Shang, Isla Mclean - received their engraved medals. Their names have also been engraved on the two trophies. The Jazzy Potatoes is the 14th winning team to be put on the trophy. Well done girls! 

Premier's Reading Challenge

At assemblies this week, I handed out the certificates, and a canteen voucher, to the 16 participants in this year's Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge. The following students completed the challenge, which required that students read 15 novels over two terms: 

Yr 7 - Kemin Liyanage, Deveron Vlagsma, Jennifer Shang, Jashn Oberoi, Max Pidduck, Moss Lee, Thalia Lai

Yr 8 - Ashlee Fletcher, Lauren Batchelder, Ella Davern, Jaxon Schmidt, Bianca Leeman, Isabella Kryebel, Alice Wongsakom, Zach Verginis

Yr 9 - Thaya Kovaleva

At a time when attention spans are shrinking, and it's becoming increasingly rare for young people and adults to read even one novel in a year, I really want to commend these students for fitting so many books into their lives.
