Student Spotlight

Highlighting students who are achieving great things in the community

TEAM Program Role Model (Trinity Elite Athlete Mentoring)

Last week TEAM Program student Andre Musca (7.2) achieved great success in representing Western Australia in the U/12 National Carnival held here in Perth.

Andre was outstanding in preparing thoroughly in advance to ensure his representative opportunity did not adversely affect his studies.

In what was a tight competition, the WA team fought hard against the typically dominant Eastern States teams winning two of their six matches. The highlight for the team being on the last day with their win against the top ranking, previously undefeated, Queensland team where Andre was the goal scorer who decided the game - a fantastic achievement! Whilst he loved the whole experience, he was very proud in being recognised as the top goal scorer for WA in the competition.

Well done, Andre and best wishes for the journey ahead and success that no doubt awaits!

Matt & Kobee take on the Blackwood Marathon

Over the weekend, Year 11 students Matt Maine and Kobee Beck participated in a team of five in the Blackwood Marathon relay.

As part of their 'Thinkfit kids' team they participated in the various legs including run, canoe, swim, equestrian, and cycle.

In great news their team won the under 18s age group and came second overall out of 163 teams. A fantastic effort and a weekend that the boys thoroughly enjoyed.

The boys also have a special shoutout to Michael the horse.
