Confirmation

Congratulations to Charlie, Jock, Ruby, Connor, Nicholas, Maddalin, Marshall, Braxton and Liam who were confirmed on Sunday 23 October. It was a very special day in the faith lives of these students as they were sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and they participated in the Mass with great confidence and reverence. Well done everyone you are a credit to yourselves, your families, our school and parish. Flooding meant that Jayden was unable to join us on Sunday and we continue to keep him in our prayers, as he will be confirmed at a later date. Flooding also meant that some family, friends including sponsors were unable to join us.

Thank you to Bishop Kennedy and Father Curran for all of your guidance and for presiding over our beautiful parish celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Thank you to Isabella Rasche for preparing the candidates for Confirmation and to everyone at St Michael’s school for your assistance in preparing for and assisting with the celebration of Confirmation your support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to the parents and sponsors for presenting your children for Confirmation, your guidance in the faith lives of your children is so important.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in the celebration of this special day in our parish, especially the altar servers: Destiny, Albert, Owen and Molly and Mrs Underwood and the choir: Maddy, Sarah, Chelsea, Eloise, Alice, Hannah, Georgia, Thea and Sienna. All of these children volunteered and gave generously of their time and effort in preparing for this special day.

Thank you to Kate and Paul Holden for preparing the delicious morning tea and to the Manilla Bakery for the Confirmation Cake. It was a work of art.

Socktober Friday Crazy Sock Day Fundraiser

This Sunday 31 October is Mission Sunday and the whole of October is Mission Month. Ethiopia is the focus of this year’s Catholic Mission Fundraiser - Socktober. We encourage everyone to visit the Socktober website https://www.socktober.org.au/ for further information and to give generously on Friday.

This week we will look at making some sockballs from recycled materials and will close the Sport Shed on Friday and play only with the sockballs to build awareness of how children in poorer communities creatively make soccerballs to play with. You may like to watch the Youtube clip to learn how to make a sockball.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBWEf8rs17I

We encourage all students to give generously to Catholic Mission at our fundraiser on this Friday 28 October when children and staff wear their favourite or craziest socks, as we work together to sock it to poverty.

Friday, 28 October 2022- Socktober Crazy Sock Day Fundraiser

Today, students and staff came dressed with their crazy socks on to help fundraise and support the Catholic Mission in "socking it to poverty".

Our students made their own sockballs during their Legends of the Light Shine groups to build awareness of how children in poorer communities creatively make soccer balls to play with.
