Foundation
The Foundation students continue to amaze us with their creativity and engagement during remote learning. We are so proud of them!
In Literacy we have continued to explore different parts of texts using our Blooms Buttons. We have written recounts incorporating the 5 w’s (who, what, where, when and why). Our phonics focus has been on past and present tense -ed and -ing. Have a look at some of our writing!
In Maths this fortnight we have collected and represented data, practised tallying and answered questions. We have also practised our fluency when skip counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s to 100! Our number of the day has also been a great highlight!
Our learning about toys has continued with some Toy Story sorting fun! We also had class Teddy Bear Picnics. We enjoyed sharing our teddies, talking to our friends and eating some yummy lunch. We also celebrated R U OK? Day.
Our Cyber Safety lessons are a huge hit in Foundation. We are so responsible learning online. With eSmart week last week, we explored lots of different ways to balance our time online and offline. We also did some unplugged coding using directional arrows.
Foundation also enjoyed a virtual excursion with Melbourne Zoo. We learned about 3 different Australian animals and their features. It was such fun!
The Foundation teachers want to thank all families for their hardwork and continued support during Term 3 and in particular through the remote learning period. We are so excited for what Term 4 has in store!
Have a wonderful, restful holiday break!
