Flora & Fauna

Cooking

The last couple of weeks have seen our Level 3 students making Strawberry Cake and Apple Donuts. We are so lucky to have Mrs O’Keefe share these wonderful recipes and for creating video tutorials for the students! They have assisted to keep many of our students engaged with our Flora and Fauna programme. Please see photos below of some our students’ amazing creations. It is very difficult to see that the Apple Donuts aren’t actually cooked donuts!

Science & Sustainability

Science this past fortnight saw students engage with two Science experiments – How to inflate a balloon without blowing it up and the Bouncy Egg experiment. We enjoyed watching the videos students submitted highlighting their success in making Bouncy Eggs! Although we are unable to load videos here, we have included some photos. For Sustainability, students learnt how recycling works (for plastic, metal and paper) and they also learnt how to grow vegetables from kitchen scraps. We can’t wait to see photos of how their vegies are developing.

Garden Harvest & Garden Maintenance

Our Garden program moved back outdoors to coincide with some of the lovely weather we have experienced. We hope your gardens, garden beds and paths look lovely after receiving help from our Flora and Fauna gurus
