Book Week

Next week we will be holding our Book Week celebrations. Our dress up day and whole school celebrations will be held on Wednesday the 25th. These celebrations will be a little different to past years. We will not be able to have a whole school parade or staff presentation as in other years which is disappointing for the children as well as the staff. If by chance we end up in another lockdown we would love the children to still dress up and celebrate with their class online. Costumes can be a favourite book character or it can follow the theme. This covers almost anything you can think of. I am looking forward to seeing all the wonderful costumes, remember don't stress, it's all fun.

THE COLAC PLAYERS

The Colac Players may be able to help with students’ ‘dress-ups’ for Book Week parades.

We have lots of stage clothing (mostly adult sizes) that could be adapted, some children’s outfits (not actual characters) and fabulous fabrics that could be sewn or draped with effect. There are also lots of accessories such as gloves, shawls, bow ties.

Families can access these treasures at the Colac Players rehearsal shed at 30 Wilson St and take home whatever they like for a gold coin donation.

We’ll be open from 3.30pm to 5:00pm on Friday 13th August and Wednesday 18th August.

SCHOOL HATS

 Children are required to wear their hats at school as of:

Monday 16 August 2021

They must leave their hats on the hooks at school at the end of each.  If hats are not brought to school children will be required to play in the shade. 

ALL HATS NEED TO BE CLEARLY LABELLED. 

WE ARE  SUNSMART 

When it comes to using sun protection, temperature isn't a good guide. You can’t see or feel UV but UV is the part of the sun that can damage skin and eyes and lead to skin cancer. SunSmart advises that Victoria’s UV levels start to rise from mid-August.

UNIFORM SHOP - APPOINTMENT ONLY

Due to government restrictions our Uniform shop can only operate on an appointment basis.  You can call our office at anytime to schedule an appointment on a Friday during Uniform shop hours. If you are unable to attend on Uniform day, Richelle will still be available to take your orders by phoning on a Friday during our uniform shop hours which are 10am - 12noon.  From there you will place your order and payment will be made at that time. All orders will be packed and sent home each Friday with your child.

Alternatively, you can download the order form from our website or your PAM account via ‘knowledge bank’.  Complete the form and send it with the correct money with your child or phone for payment on Friday.

If sizing is an issue, you are able to send clothing back (still with tags) and it will be swapped over for you...children are unable to be called up to office

 to be sized for clothing anymore.    We thank you for your cooperation.
