From the Principal

Week 3Term 3 2021

Dear Parents

First Eucharist

This evening we celebrate the remaining First Eucharists. This is a special time for the candidates and their families. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I ask that all families ensure that they QR code into the church and be seated ready to commence at 6.00pm.

Pick Up

Thank you for your cooperation with the 2 pick up times.  This process will remain in place until at least  the end  of next week. We should then  receive further updates to our Schools Operational Guidelines.

Confirmation

Confirmation for our Yr. 6 students will take place on the 17th  and 19th of August.  The Parent/student evening will be held on Tuesday 11 August commencing at 7.00pm. This will be held online. Bernadette Reed will send out the link.

Over the past two years I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to Ben Crowe ( Ash Barty's mindset coach as well as working with many sporting teams) speak on 3 occasions.  What resonates with me is his thoughts around mindset.  During these challenging and ever changing times our mindset is even more important then ever. Below is an extract from Ben that is worth some thought.

“From my experience there are three key mindsets that, if working in alignment with each other, work to help us find confidence and happiness.

The first one is the connection mindset, which is about connecting with ourselves, first and foremost, before we connect with others.

The second is the purpose mindset, which helps us establish what we want in life and find purpose and meaning.

And the third is the performance mindset, which speaks to how we show up in the world and go about achieving our goals.

I find the connection mindset very powerful. Ben is asking are we happy with who we are. Because if we have connection with ourselves we make even stronger connections with others. It's these connections that help us work through challenging times and build our resilience.

Fees

The fee statements were sent home earlier this week. I ask that you please address the payment of fees as soon as possible.  I understand that families face  financial difficulties at differing times so please do not hesitate to contact me to speak about ways to assist in paying the fees.
