A big thank you to all of you who were able to hook into ‘the greatest show on earth’ this week - our Garden Meet (Thanks for coming up with the idea, Decs - aka Egg boy). For those of you who  missed out, we will have another show next Thursday at 2pm.

If you live within the 5km radius of school, please come and grab some samples off our ‘Garden Graze Table’: free herbs, our world-famous party pack containing the garden activity for the week and the weekly celebrity chicken. Our much-loved hula-hooping chicken, Beyonce, is featured this week. Who will next week’s be? This week’s party pack contains all you need to grow broad beans. We planted them on the meet, accompanied by a love song. It will be interesting watching them germinate and grow.

Everything is growing now the days are getting longer and the weather is warming up. All our seeds in the hothouse, planted by our trusty ‘hothouse flowers’, have grown so much they should be ready for planting in two weeks.

We touched base with our resident psychic scarecrow, MoonRiver, for her thought of the week, said a quick hello to our royal blue tongue lizard, Queen Elizabeth, and hung out with the beautiful new chicks and very confused guinea pigs. It’s very funny to watch all the chicks muscling their way into the guinea pigs’ living space. The poor old pigs don’t know where to go 🤣 🐥. When collecting the eggs we discovered a yolkless egg. Yep I’m not yolking 🙄 - a no yolk egg! It’s very rare and happens when a chicken’s reproductive system misfires. It’s only the second one I’ve ever seen. Check out how small it is!

Here are the names already entered; Nugget, Cuddles, Pebbles, Princess Laya, Penguin, Henrietta, Bubblegum, Noodles, Little, Chickaletta, Hennifer Lopez (my favourite), Eggbert, Sunglasses, Beaker, Pecker, Scratch and Sunny.

Next week’s PARTY PACK ACTIVITY is propagating from a cutting. Please collect from garden graze table from Monday. Instructions will be on the table and you make the packs up yourself.
