LIBRARY

Thank you to everyone in the College who has participated in what has turned out to be an unusual Book Week!  I have enjoyed receiving the many emails and pictures this week. In particular, it has been wonderful to see and read about students’ memories of past Book Weeks and the books that have had (or still have) special meaning for them.

Here is a small sample of some of the emails and pictures that I received earlier in the week:

This was Kolby’s Grug costume for the 2017 book week at the CSU children’s centre when he was 2.5 years old and attending the toddler's room. “Grug” was his favourite book at the time. (Kolby is in KM this year and was one of our youngest students to share a Book Week memory!)

This photo was taken the morning of a book parade during Book Week that I was to participate in when I was 9, in 2016. I decided to dress up as Cinderella because at the time I was obsessed with Disney princesses (and might be still). I had fun and I liked wearing pretty dresses and have always been an avid reader. - Diya

This photo is of me in Kindergarten dressed up as the witch from “The Room on The Broom”. This is my favourite costume because I got chosen to write about my character! - Elizabeth

I was in Year 1 and went dressed as Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz” - I was obsessed with this book for years!  - Lethy

This photo was from my first book week in Kindergarten from 2009 with my older sister (who graduated last year). I am on the left dressed as Fancy Nancy and my sister is dressed as the Frilled Neck lizard from “Wombat Stew”. - Amelia

Please find attached Freddie's afternoon efforts to decorate our garage door! We live in town so sparked quite a few fun neighbourhood conversations! Thank you all, you're doing an amazing job keeping all the activities running amid all the changes! Warm regards Zoe

Thank you once more for your enthusiasm and participation in Book Week. Final entries can be made until 4 pm today (Friday 27 August).

Can I please take this opportunity to remind all students from K-12 that you always have access to the College's e-Library: https://trac.wheelers.co/browse/

A range of e-books and audiobooks can be borrowed by logging on using your College email address and the password: TRACebooks17 (case sensitive). This is a wonderful resource which we are most fortunate to have. You can search for specific books and authors, or browse through the various collections by clicking the “Library” tab on the top right-hand corner.

Enjoy your reading!
