VCAL Art: Chuck Close inspired portrait

During this semester, students in VCAL art have been studying the work of Chuck Close and his unique portrait paintings. These students collaborated to replicate Close’s technique by painting individual panels using a series of tints, shades and patterns. They then assembled the panels to present a large portrait which reveals the face of a famous artist. Can you tell who the artist is?

The final artwork is on display in our new Integrated Learning Centre.  Well done to all students involved.
